Offensive MVP
Running Back LeSean McCoy
Although the strength of the Texan’s defense is their front seven, McCoy should be able to have a big game. With center Jason Kelce’s return from injury, four fifths of the Eagle’s starting offensive line will be back to health, paving the way for the ground game to return to last season’s league leading form. McCoy will have to deal with inside studs such as J.J. Watt and Brian Cushing, but McCoy’s quickness and elusiveness are the perfect antidote. Expect McCoy to put up upwards of 120 yards.
Defensive MVP
Safety Malcolm Jenkins
Texan’s quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is known for interceptions, having already thrown seven picks this season. Jenkins leads the Birds with three interceptions so far this season, and he is primed to be in position for more interceptions against the Texans. Expect Jenkins to come away with two interceptions.
X-factor
Texan’s Pass Rush vs. Eagle’s Pass Protection
The Eagle’s offensive is number one in the league giving up only seven sacks on the year; however, against the Texans they will have to matchup with feared pass rusher Watt. Watt will likely lineup across from both Jason Peters and Lane Johnson. If the Birds can contain Watt, their chance for victory significantly increases.
Final Score
Eagles 31- Texans 17
